They reported that 80% of the listeners who were surveyed said that they are more likely to seek out products and services after hearing about them. They also reported that 55% of listeners were seeking out entertainment podcasts; 49% of listeners downloaded podcasts about gadgets and electronic goods; and 25% are listening to podcasts for up to two hours daily.
In terms of how those surveyed listened to or watched podcasts, 75% of them said that they listen outside their home; 20% listen on while commuting; 12% of them listen while doing housework and 10% listen while exercising.
Interesting numbers, indeed. If 80% of these survey participants are more likely to seek out products or services after hearing about them via podcasts, what do you suppose this could mean for real estate agents and sellers who are thinking about implementing podcasts and video into their online marketing mix? To us, it looks like yet another pretty compelling basis for getting into the podcasting game now!
